Flag Day
Flag Day is a major holiday in Haiti. It is celebrated May 18th and is accompanied by celebrations, fanfare at the national palace, and parades throughout Haiti. The flag in Haiti has a deep history and is a strong symbol of pride. The story of the flag tells of Haiti's struggles, victories, and fight for freedom that Haiti has endured over hundreds of years. The flag has gone through numerous design changes, but has officially been the shown design (red and blue with the coat of arms on a white square in the middle) since 1986.

Haiti Spotlight
Kesner
Kesner’s entrepreneurship started with a dream to raise and care for animals. Unfortunately, he did not have the funds to begin his project. With a grant from Believe in Haiti, Kesner started raising pigeons. The earnings from his original project have allowed him to expand his operations to include rabbits, goats, and pigs, as well as a modest, but thriving garden. Kesner plans to finish secondary school soon, but already has a place in the community as a business leader who can train others. Your continued support of Believe in Haiti will provide opportunities for others in St. Roch to further develop their dreams and realize the success and confidence gained through their diligent efforts.
